Audemic Scholar is an app that summarizes open research articles and reports into brief written audio summaries for non-academic users. It enables PhD students and researchers to save time, organize their knowledge, and speed up their reading process. The app allows users to upload any academic paper or import it from a reference manager, listen to it in full text or key statements, highlight interesting parts and take notes for organization purposes. Audemic offers different features such as changing the speed of audio playback according to user preference; choosing between different voices; translating papers into other languages (currently English-Spanish); organizing sections of any paper uploaded according to user preferences; changing background color options including dyslexic font option for those with learning disabilities among others.
